Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong attributed the outage to a “large surge of traffic” overwhelming the exchange’s infrastructure. The sudden influx of users attempting to buy, sell, or trade Bitcoin overwhelmed Coinbase’s servers, leading to connectivity issues for many customers.<\/p>\n
